Mildred Bernadette Akotia

Mildred Bernadette Akotia is the founder and CEO of Royal Cedars Limited, a West Africa-Inspired Food Brand Founded in 2015. Notable with Mildred is excellence in carrying out duties and her attention to detail. Over the years she has built expertise in the area of Food Safety Systems and Quality Management Systems.

Mildred has a wealth of experience in Food Safety Regulation, having worked with the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority for 7years. She started her career from the Food Industry both internationally and locally. She worked at H.J Heinz in Wigan, Uk and at McVitie’s Limited in Manchester, Uk. Mildred’s passion to contribute her quota towards food security in West Africa led her to continue her career back home in Ghana. Prior to joining the FDA, she worked as a Quality and Process Control Analyst at Athena Foods, Tema which processed fruit juices for export.

Mildred has an MSc in Food Production Management, (2008) from The University of Nottingham, Uk and a BSC in Biochemistry (2006) from the University of Ghana. Mildred is EBN’s National Director of Research and Strategy
